What am I doing wrong with this simple LED/photocell circuit?
Here's the give out, look up an "LED throwie" and you'll see basically whats going on here.
You connect an LED to a 3v coin cell battery and it lights up. Intelligible, anode to + and cathode to -
Lights for about a week. I figured I could add an el cheapo photoresistor to the anode and it would dim the LED during the day, and run it normally at nightfall, thereby increasing the battery life.
Pretty much making a kids nightlight but with a battery instead of plug in. The problem Im having though is that its working regressively. As in, when I cover up the photocell the LED dims, when I put it in the sunlight, the LED gets brighter. As I understood it, you just reverse the photocell and it will act the vis- way, getting brighter at night. However no matter how I arrange the photocell, it ALWAYS makes the LED brighter in sunlight. I hunger the opposite. I got some photocells and a phototransistor and they are both acting the same. My photocell (PhotoREsistor) is behaving like a photoTRANSistor.
No subject how I arrange it, its getting brighter in the light. What am I doing wrong?!

Chemistry confusion...10 points to the best answer!?
1.Invent a diagram of your electroplating apparatus (an electrolytic cell). Then submit your drawing with the following terms labeled correctly. Or, inception with the positive terminal of the battery and ending with the negative terminal of the battery, describe the path that the electricity takes and where each of the following occurs:
•anode
•cathode
•copper pillage
•battery
•positive terminal
•negative terminal
•place where oxidation occurs
•place where reduction occurs
•electrolyte key
•coin (or nail)
•direction of electron flow
Please can someone just draw me this and label the parts! You will get an easy 10 points
:)
My representation won't show up. I will have to email it to you.
Outfit ideal temperature resistance and superior storage capacity
Designed to yield optimal performance throughout the life of the battery

1. Of the metals Ni, Au, Hg, and Ag, which will give up its electrons to copper (Cu) in a redox effect?
Ni
Au
Hg
Ag
3. Which of the following reactions would occur at the anode in a voltaic cell?
K+ (aq) + e K (s)
Cd2+ (aq) + Zn (s) Zn2+ (aq) + Cd (s)
Cu2+ (aq) + 2e Cu (s)
Ca (s) Ca2+ + 2e
4. Why was it consequential to polish the copper strips and wire, the coin, and the nail in the electroplating experiment?
You need to apply a layer of iron to the integument of each material.
You need to remove a layer of copper from the surface of each material.
You need to heat up the covering of each material by friction to get the reaction going.
You need to have a clean surface for contact between the solution and the secular.
6. In an electroplating apparatus, where does the reduction reaction occur?
on the surface of the anode
in the solution
on the covering of the battery
on the surface of the cathode
7. Here is the overall reaction of a mercury oxide dry cell:
Zn + HgO ----> ZnO + Hg. In this reaction, which of the following gets reduced?
Hg
O
Zn
HgO
8. In which of the following combinations would you shortage an electroplating apparatus to coat the first metal onto the second metal?
aluminum onto lead (Pb)
cadmium onto nickel
tin (Sn) onto copper
nickel onto iron
9. In an electroplating requisites, where does the oxidation reaction occur?
on the surface of the cathode
in the solution
on the surface of the battery
on the surface of the anode
10. Which of the following statements is not loyal for an electrochemical cell?
An oxidation-reduction reaction must occur.
Electrons must flow through a separate path from the retaliation solutions.
Nonparticipating ions must flow to keep the electrons electrically neutral.
The metals that form the electrodes must be twin.
11. Of the metals Li, Al, Na, and K, which will not spontaneously donate electrons to magnesium (Mg)?
Li
Al
Na
K
1.
2. b
3.d
4.you demand clean surface, objects oxidize on their own so you need to remove the oxidized layer on top before you do an electrolysis investigate.
6. Cathode (heres how u remember AN OX and RED CAT)
7. Hg
8. tin onto nickel (educated guess)
9.anode
10. b (by process of elimination)

HTC Touch Pro2 CNET News
The upright: The HTC Touch Pro2 features a sharp, spacious touch screen and an easy-to-use full QWERTY keyboard. The Windows Responsive smartphone also includes conference call management tools for business users and offers nice call quality. It also has 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
The bad: The smartphone is heavy and bulky. Onboard memory is low, and we would have liked an upgraded camera. It's a bit excessive.

T-Mobile's translation of the HTC Touch Pro2 has a slightly different design than the unlocked model, and we can't say we're huge fans of the changes. Gone are the tapered edges and rounded give form to that made the bulky device (4.57 inches tall by 2.33 inches wide by 0.68 inch difficult; 6.6 ounces) slightly sleeker and comfortable to hold, as are the eye-catching chrome touches. Comparatively speaking, the T-Movable Touch Pro2's blocky shape and mocha color doesn't really inspire much and looks rather dingy, but, of course, style is completely subjective. The important thing is that the cosmetic changes don't touch what really counts: the insides of the phone; plus, there's still plenty to like about the Touch Pro2's scheme.
